Hi All saw this Diver on Mull yesterday Black-throated or Great Northern, bill seems small so I'm leaning towards BTD but not 100% sure? Sorry about the picture quality, thanks in advance

I think that black half collar and lack of white flank patch suggests a GND Paul.

I'm wondering if the half collar isn't being caused by the angle the birds neck is at? The bird seems to be sitting up so maybe the flank patch is submerged he says grasping at straws!!
