Hi Adam it's been another good year for them.The one in your pic looks very fresh must have just recently come out.I have certainly seen more of them than usual in the garden.Lots of Speckled Woods around Whitburn CPK today.
Hi Steve the moths are called Silver Y.It's a migrant and some years we get huge numbers of them coming in from the Mediterranean and North Africa.I saw a few in the spring and there seems to be a good number of them around at he moment.saw a couple of moths out feeding on flowers nr Dawdon this afternoon
