That is so very true Claire. You've observed both sides of nature watching very early in your journey.

Sorry to hear that, but you did your best, and there are many things that can go wrong.
One time in the middle of the night i realised that a cat was just sitting by an active nestbox i had, generally we can't be around 24/7 sadly. Perhaps a neighbours cat was too close overnight and spooked the parents. Life can be cruel. :-(

One has survived & the bird lady has said it is getting stronger & eating well. 🤞🤞
