Grebe-like bird next to pied cormorant - Sydney, Australia (1 Viewer)

What species is the grebe-like bird, swimming in the water to the left of the pied cormorant? It has a pale face and a black neck.

I see another cormorant - though it seems to have an oddly short bill (could be an optical illusion/photo artefact?) Not Pied C given the all-black neck, so maybe Little Black?

And a coot in front of them...
It does sort of look like a cormorant. This is the only pic of the mystery bird unfortunately, it's not the best quality. The bill looked short to me too. And yep, that's a Eurasian coot in front.
