Hi. I’m happy to have found this forum. I’m looking for assistance with bird identification. This beautiful bird shows up each morning flying over our pasture. We live near a very large lake and mountains. It swoops down and seems to be gathering hay out of the pasture or hunting. Sorry for the picture quality. I had to zoom in to show the birds markings. Can someone identify it for me? Its size is similar to a hawk. Thanks so much for your help.

It's an osprey

Edit- Not 100% sure what its doing over a pasture, they are mainly fish eaters. Might be collecting material for its nest.
