Pair of Egyptian Geese being reported today at Penshurst. Can anyone help with gen? Are they territorial? Are they in Penshurst Park, if so what is access like? How long have they been there?

Any information gladly received.

I'm back. Managed Eygptian Goose at Sevenoaks some time back, so whittling the easy targets down.

New quest is Balearic Shearwater.

What is the deal with these guys, seem to get regular(ish) sightings from the patch at Dunge in the late summer. Are these thought to be multiple birds over the days or is it more likely a single bird just cruising the area.

Very annoying that the news always seems to be a day or so after the event, but I digress.

Is there a strategy anyone can recommend, other than sitting there for days at a time. Best time of day? Weather?

Thanks in advance, if you can be bothered:t:

If the winds change to south west try Dungeness on a scope and hope mission about now for shearwaters exiting the North Sea. You also stand a good chance of Sooties, Sabines Gull and Leach's Petrel.
