Introduce myself (1 Viewer)

[Region of Alicante]

I have recently retired live in the Alicante province and have incorporated my photography interest of many years with birds and wildlife. I wish I had started when I was younger with birds and wildlife, but I guess it’s never too late. I am slowly learning names of birds and now also trying to learn the names in Spanish. The closest large birding locations to me are would be the Salinas at Santa Pola and El Hondo at Elche also Clot de Galvany. In 2022 I am keen to find other locations within in the Alicante region and further away. I would welcome any suggestions of where else I can visit either in Valencia or Murcia regions.

Thanks for the link, a really good informative read. I have seen a few of the birds listed in the article at El Hondo. I Didn't realise it has so many different varieties of bird visitors.

I look forward to seeing how many of them I am lucky enough to see and photograph. I do have some photos I have taken at El Hondo will post a few up over the coming weeks.
