Long-legged Buzzard? - Israel (1 Viewer)

Indobirder

Well-known member
This bird was seen this week in Israel.
I think it matches nicely with Long-legged Buzzard (dark trailing edge to the wing, dark carpal patches, darker "trousers", pale hand), but I'm wondering if it's possible to exclude Common Buzzard from these photos.
Apologies for the poor quality.

Thank you!

Plumage looks ok but does it look big enough?

I know it's a tough angle but they always looks obviously bigger than Common types to me?

I attach one of my locals.

Hey Andy,
Just checking if your photo is a long legged or rough legged buzzard (based on image name: RLB).

I saw the bird while riding in a bus, so didn't get a good feel for size

Thanks :)
