Mallard Hybrid, Glencoe Lochan, Scotland, UK (1 Viewer)

Hi, saw these 2 ducks that look like mallards, whilst strolling around Glencoe Lochan in Scotland.
The body and size look like mallard, especially with the curly tail, but the colour is off.
My guess would be a hybrid, just what with? Any other ideas, thanks.

Thanks for that, I always thought the domestic ducks were the ones that were more upright.
I’m less frustrated about it now 😅
