I note from Cotinga 27 that Scytalopus speluncae in Rio de Janeiro state is now S. notorius. Does anyone know what this forms English name is as I do not have access to the article in Zootaxa.

The paper will not help for English names...
The Brasilian CBRO refers to Scytalopus notorius as Serra do Mar Tapaculo (http://www.cbro.org.br/CBRO/listasub.htm), but others apparently continue to call it Mouse-coloured Tapaculo (this is the population to which this name has traditionally been attached).

The headache of this group could become even greater if you check Mauricio's article (www.ararajuba.org.br/sbo/ararajuba/artigos/Volume131/ara131art1.pdf - slow loading) on S. pachecoi.
However, I guess most of the birds he mentions as "speluncae or something else" can (for now) be placed in notorius (I like that one) or speluncae.
