I think this is a Vireo of some kind, but have never seen one other than in my books. Any thoughts?

Looks like a Yellow Warbler to me.
Hadn't thought about that. You may very well be right. There were four of them flying around a shrub and landing from time to time. Assume they were recently hatched and fledged birds. Thought they looked a little to yellowish for a Vireo, but thought the white eyer ring might ID them as such. If so, would be first ones I've ever seen other than in my Bird Guides. Thought I saw one a couple of years ago in February during the Great Backyard Bird Count, but was told it was too early in year for them to be this far north.
