Spring/Autumwatch- type programmes have their place, but they need to be executed well and never at the expense of 'real' natural history programmes.

O/T sorry, but I used to love Survival in the 60's and 70's. Many younger viewers will find it hard to believe that ITV was once home of 'must watch' nature progs!

I was born in 1976 but can remember watching Survival through the 80s. ITV said a year or two ago that they wanted to get back making original quality programmes, moving away from a lot of the trash they've been famous for recently.
