Ring-billed Gull? - Eastern Ontario, Canada (1 Viewer)

Shot this morning in Eastern Ontario, Canada, I think this is probably a Ring-billed Gull because that's about the only kind of gull I see around here, but on this one I can't see the ring, although it's got the white tips on the wings like a ring-billed. Can anyone confirm or correct that ID?

It's one of the larger gulls: ring-billed, herring, or great black-backed are the only likely options for this time and place. I'm not entirely certain we can see enough of the back to rule out black-backed, but the wing pattern looks more like herring or ring-billed to me. Somebody here may be confident enough to tell those two apart by wing pattern from a single photo, but not me.

I'd go with ring-billed. Herring ought to have white primary tips; structure wrong great black-backed (and we'd expect to see some dark somewhere). Short-billed +/- out of range (and there are doubtless other reasons it's not that—eye seems pale for example)
