South Thailand small bird id help please (1 Viewer)

Hi, these photos were taken on June 1, 2019 in Patthalung province, southern thailand, just north of Songkhla province. It was taken by an old gravel pit that has now filled with water.

My original thought was just a young Eurasian tree sparrow, but the bill seems too pale.
Would someone be able to id this bird from these photos please?
