Hi all..

we are going to Corpus Christi, Texas for the big bowling tournament in mid April. and will be spending a week there.

from the map and other tourist info that I got, seems there are many National wildlife refuge area around there. Including Port Aransas birding center.

Does anyone know of some info for that area, any tips to prepare for my trip ??

Thanks in advance.

Cheers :)

The Corpus Christi and Port Aransas areas are tremendous for birds at the time of your visit. Here are some links for good birding/photo opportunities.

Also, lurking on TEXBIRDS, the Texas bird listserve, is a good way to get to know what's about.

You can also access TEXBIRDS via this site: <www.birdingonthe.net>. Click on Regional/Specialty then Texas.

If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to contact me at sgross7 AT houston.rr.com

Wow...

Thanks very much, Steve.

The information you have provided are very useful indeed for the planning of my trip.

I will be flying into San Antonio, driving to Corpus Christi for a couple days of Bowling.

Then my tentative plan will be drive up the coast from Corpus north along the coast highway, thru Aransas onto Houston. Stopping along the way as much as time permited. Then after spending a night or two in Houston, drive back to SanAntonio for the flight home.

Well, the first thing on the agenda is to get that Tamron 200-500 rezMole suggested.

Thanks again

Cheers :)
