Grrrrrrrrr. I was there 10.15-11.45 - No Mandarin, but did see 4 Goosander, 2 Buzzards, 3 Cormorants and plenty of commmon birds.

Gary - what part of the river where they on, level with upper or lower or elsewhere ?

Cheers

Neil

I was there lunchtime. The Mandarins were tucked up close to the opposite (from the res) bank, about 50m upstream from the eastern end of the upper res. Goosander were further down stream level with the middle of the lower res.

Better luck next time !

Cheers.

Hobby today perched in an Oak tree in the fields at the back of Eymore wood. I heard him first, and then had the devil of a job finding where he was. Eventually spotted him in the top of a tree about quarter of a mile away across the field. I couldn't tell if it was a Hobby or a Peragrin, so I headed for another track that went in the right direction and got a better view. On the river, one Mandarin female with 7 ducklings. Other than that, not much about.

Good lighting this morning as the Cormorants put on a show for me, My 1.7x Converter struggled abit with the focusing as they were moving faster in the strong winds but this is what I got a full card of 700 images!!
