Did see those things and dismissed them as marks since they seem semi-transluscent.

Going to try gulls, of the yellow legged variety.

I'm afraid I will have to accept your first answer. Sorry. It is an un-written rule in this quiz that if the correct answer is broadcast, at the risk of giving the game away, points must be awarded to whoever gave it. If I'd said which do you want Honey Buzzard or Spoonbill? That'd be a massive clue. So unfortunately WP you're gonna have to swallow the 3 points.;)

They were indeed Spoonbills. A flock of 40.

And Lou, they circled up and then flew directly West.:-O
