Which Crossbill ? (north of Sweden) (2 Viewers)

WOW.. Hannu stirs up the pot uhhh?

My guess is... Common Crossbill on ALL pictures (maybe some 2-barred).

E.g. as Forsman says, in Common Crossbill the outline of the lower mandible is much more gently curved. Also the Parrot's size of the bill is smaller in juvenile birds than adults.
 
Ben, your first bird is Parrot as I said earlier. Trust me, I have seen hundreds. However, if it were in Scotland, well ..............!

However, I am more interested that your TB xbill is apparently scoffing Scots Pine. I would really like to know if he was prising them open as this is pretty significant. Was it in a Scots Pine only forest or are there spruce trees nearby ? I suspect not.

Would also still like to see a bill of the TB as you can't see it in the photo.
