Yellow legged gull? Black mark on beak? Istanbul (1 Viewer)

Straw yellow/pale dirty Yellow for me but not 'clear yellow legs as mentioned above. Cannot see any hint of Pink. Every monitor will show variation but this BenQ has recently been colour checked ... and sorry ... still no Pink. Not that it certifies anything.

I have seen a few bog standard herring gulls with straw-yellow legs in Denmark. Strongly yellow legs usually indicated yellow-legged gulls when I still were in Europe with some frequency.

both birds are quite obvious YLG. a 2nd and a 3rd cycle, possibly even 4th cycle. Black marks to bill even appear in adult birds in nonbreeding plumage or if hormones are not on top. the second cycle show a typical coloured bill of a 3cy spring bird (2nd alternate plumage) which is bright but still with black marks to it (together with white head etc.); the second bird is a 3rd cycle as said, bill variable at this age and getting completely yellow variably - from january to may. note largish p10 mirror which is not found in a 2nd cycle but still rounded like in michahellis. legs are pale yellow (which of course is not a real identification trait).
