Yellow throated Sparrow or Pale Rockfinch? (1 Viewer)

The bird's thick bill and build is what is causing confusion for a Pale rockfinch. The two white wing bars would say Chestnut shouldered petronia/ Yellow throated sparrow
Pale rockfinch has only ever been recorded once from Pakistan not far from this location. The species has almost regularly wintered in Western India.

I'd say Pale Rockfinch. As you say, the bill is very thick, with strongly curved culmen merging into the crown.
