Monopod query. (1 Viewer)

I'd like to get a monopod to go with my 7D and 400 prime.

I like the look of the Velbon Ultra Stick 50LX because it's small when folded and easy to carry around but will it be too lightweight for my set up?

Max.

Max, when I had the 400/5.6 I used a Manfrotto 680B Monopod with 234RC head, a combo that worked well. I don't know about the Velbon but I would recommend a tilt head like the 234RC which has a load capacity of 2.5 kg.

Thanks Roy.Someone else has suggested the same set up.I always like to travel light when out birding but the Velbon might be too light.
