Hi All

There are now a very limited number of places left on an August 29th
Pelagic out of North Shields. We run two or three of these trips on a not-for-profit basis each year. This is the only one of our pelagics this year to have any spaces left. And, although nothing can be guaranteed........ statistically, Northumberland at the end of August offers one of the best chances of Fea's Petrel :) (How's that for a long shot?) Always a good day out - slide from side to side of the boat, try your hand at chumming - the list of opportunities is endless........ Also, this is an opportunity to add to our knowledge of seabird distribution in the North Sea.

For further information about the joys of Northumberland pelagic birding look at the following two articles;

Kitching, M. 2002. The Wilson's Petrel off Northumberland - the first British North Sea record. Birding World 15 (9): 390-391

Frankis, M. & Kitching, M. 2003. North Sea pelagic trips off Northumberland - past, present and future. Birding World 16 (5): 219-220

The number of participants is strictly limited to 12 and places are
allocated on a "first-come first-served" basis. To reserve a place on this
pelagic trip please contact Martin Kitching on (01670) 827465 or e-mail
[email protected] Please send a deposit cheque for £10
(payable to 'NTBC') to Sarah Barratt, Honorary Treasurer, NTBC, 18 Frances
Ville, Scotland Gate, Northumberland, NE62 5ST. The balance of payment (a further £15) is due on the day of the trip.

best wishes
