Hi
I will be visiting at the end of october and will be staying in Kissimmie for 2 weeks, I plan to visit Merrit island, Vieira wetlands and the Three lakes / Joe Overstreet road area,
but I was wondering if there is any reliable sites around there for Burrowing Owls?
and any reliable sites for Painted Buntings?

I have done quite a bit of bird photography in Florida and do not know of any Burrowing Owl or Painted Bunting sites in those areas.

I have seen them at Kissimmee Prairie which would be a reasonable drive I guess. It's just north of Okeechobee.

thanks, I heard kissimmee prairie can be a good place, if I can find them, it sounds like they can be quiet tricky to find.

I've seen them off the main road across from the cow pasture, so keep an eye out for those owl bumps
