I never had a chance to look at Leupold Yosemite. But I recently bought a pair of Wind River Olympic 10x42 for $349. Brightness and handling wise, I believe that's a fine pair of binoculars. But for $349, my wife was not too crazy about the idea for spending $300+ for a pair of binos. So, I went on ebay, got a pair of ZenRay 10x42 waterproof for $139. After comparing both, I decided to return the Leupold one even though the Leupold's carrying case is slightly better. But after considering the law of diminishing return for the expensive optics goods, I am comfortable with my decision of staying with ZenRay

NC,

You are not the only one that has noticed this. I think something may be in the works. I tried to order a pair two days ago from the local distributor for an outdoors store I work part-time at. The distributor said that they were out of stock and did not know if they would be restocking that particular model because of some possible change or upgrade.

I was going to dismiss it as one hears these type of things all the time. However, your post prompted me to mention it.
