American Basketflower (Centaurea americana: Asteraceae) Head inflorescence is ca. 10.2 cm (4.0 in) in diameter. The plants stand 1.5-1.8 m (5.0-6.0 ft) tall.
Habitat
Blackland Prairie vegetation area. Farm and pastureland at ca. 195 m (640 ft) elevation; roadside.
Location
Krause Road east of Salado, Bell County, Texas, USA.
