Any idea what species this is? (unknown)

Again, I'm not familiar with North American birds so could really do with some help. I shot this in Vancouver, BC.

Any help at all would be great.

Male House Finch I think, but in such cases the ID forum is your friend.......
US birders on there will nail it in a heartbeat.

Hmmmm... I'm going with immature or molting Male Purple Finch. No striping on this bird as there would be with a House Finch.
