Bittern (Botaurus stellaris)

Well Peeps,
As I told you on friday morning I was going down the Reserve here at Lakenheath with my mate Roger who volunteers down there. It tipped it down with rain, so we stood around in the Visitor Centre shooting the sh*t, when this Bittern appeared on the other side of the Visitor Centre pond. It stalked the area, and was in view for an hour, before taking off. I managed a few shots through the glass windows, so image quality is not that great, but this bird made my birthday. When it stopped raining, I walked down to the hide, sat there an hour, and all I see was a Moorhen's arse disappearing into the reeds. So Roger and I then went for a few pints. He has just called, and said he will pick me up at 10 for a trip out somewhere this morning. So I will catch up with y'all later.
