Black Skimmer in Flight

Black Skimmer in Flight (Rynchops niger)

While sitting on the beach in front of our camper at Long Key State Park about sunset we spotted this lone skimmer in a large group of Laughing Gulls. Managed to catch the skimmer in flight.

Long Key is located about the middle of the Keys in Florida.
