Brown Violetear
Rather uncommon, large but drab, fairly short-billed hummingbird of tropical and subtropical forest and edge. We saw widely in Colombia (as we had in Costa Rica) but always in small numbers.
Habitat
Gardens around restaurant building with a mix of nectar-rish flowers and hummingbird feeders.

Around the restaurant at the ProAves El Dorado Lodge (Santa Marta range/Magdalena/Colombia
