Chukar partridge (Alectoris chukar)

This is my first gallery photo in quite a while! This adult Chukar was teaching its young how to beg from tourists in autos along the Capitol Gorge in Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. I didn't feed the little beggars, of course, but I took advantage of their boldness to obtain this photo
Habitat
Desert wash
Location
Capitol Reef National Park, Utah
Date taken
August 16, 2004
Scientific name
Alectoris chukar
Equipment used
Nikon D100; Sigma 75-300mm. f4.5-5.6 APO zoom
Me too, just caught it in randoms and so glad I did. I saw and photographed this species near the Salton Sea and what a thrill it was. Yours is a stunning image as is the bird. If you have any full body images, I surely hope you post at least one here, thanks.
