Cinnamon Hummingbird - Amazilia rutila
This was the first hummingbird I saw perched for longer than 5 seconds. The ones before this were constantly on the move and impossible to get photos of.
This species occurs from Mexico south to northern Costa Rica and prefers dry forests, so the habitat was a lot different from where most other hummingbird species were seen.
Location
Costa Rica
Scientific name
Amazilia rutila
Equipment used
Canon 5D III and 300 f2.8 IS II lens
