Walking through the park, I saw this male butcherbird.

Nice spotting, Di! We have them in our garden this season. Rather dominant they like to chase other birds. But they are quite handsome.
 
Thank you for your comments. Yes Kerrie we get a pair as we are part of their territory!
A couple of years ago they nested in the bush where from our upper balcony we cld safely photograph the nest . Building of it, with eggs, hatchlings, feathered & leaving the nest...just beautiful.The butcherbirds are chased by the Currawongs which are far more aggressive.
