Balcony Biodiversity - 51 (Catopsilia pyranthe)

Life : Blessing

____________________

...Back from Rishikesh
I drove in and
parked the car in
the front courtyard
of our house ...

As I alighted and
looked up toward
the Balcony ...

... in came this
serene beauty ...
fluttering and then
settling down on a
potted plant kept
there ...
Palpably excited, I
picked up my camera
lying in the car ...
No sooner did I point
it, the sweetie flew
away ...
... only
to take a round
of the courtyard, before
perching again at
exactly the
same spot ...
...at a nice angle
posing perfectly
for me ...
to record the moment
...savour and share
it ...
Before flying away
into
...expanse of
Timelessness

And ...
I knew
And felt
That moment
Of
Blessing
By
Nature
Herself

For...
Such a thing
never happenned
In our
decades
Of stay
Here ...

Well, I think he just did a flypast to ensure you knew he was there Alok!! He was just absolutely desperate to have his portrait taken you know ;)

A little beauty this!

Lovely! Reminds me of an elegant, gilded, antique leather book - opened, worn and thin (well read!), with light shining through the cover |=)|
