This one seems to have found a ripe berry. And yes, they will be back ... if they can get the timing right. Every Fall I have Bohemian Waxwings, Fieldfares, and Starlings coming to see if my little berry-sized apples or the sour pie cherries are ready. Some "scouts" will come early, but then whichever team gets the timing just right empties out the trees. If the waxwings, say, come back a day too late they find the shrub and/or trees empty; the fieldfares or starlings have beat them to it.
