Rufous-crowned Roller
Often called Purple Roller, they seem to prefer more arid habitats than the much more common Lilac-breasted Roller. Rufous-crowned is the largest and heaviest of the world's rollers. This is the larger southern race "C. n. mosambicus" with more purple on its underparts, especially its undertail coverts.
