Pinon's Imperial-Pigeon
I was fortunate to get this photo while riding in a small boat. Note the red skin around its eyes and narrow white tail band. This large pigeon is endemic to New Guinea. This is the nominate race which has a gray (not pink) head and lacks whitish scaling on its wing coverts.
