Common Green Bottle Fly
Common Green Bottle Fly (Lucilia sericata: Calliphoridae) 1.0-1.4 cm (0.39-0.55 in) long. Photographed on littleleaf sumac (Rhus microphylla: Anacardiaceae).
Habitat
Blackland Prairie vegetation area. Farm and pastureland at ca. 195 m (640 ft) elevation.
Location
Armstrong Road, east of Salado, Bell County, Texas, USA.
