Dream-2 : Up close (Pseudibis papillosa)

Beauty lies
In the eyes
Of the beholder
He can call it
A celestial object
Or
A mere something
To eat and
Forget about it

Remember what the
Old Man says to the
harpooned Marlin , " O fish !
you are my brother."

This image was taken
inside Gir NP , the last
refuge of Asiatic Lion,
only 415 of which survive
today.
Sitting inside an open jeep.
Hand-held.
As all my images are,
unless mentioned.

From a distance ,this Ibis
looks more of a Plain Jane,
to the unassisted eye.
Reality may be more stunning
either way.
Habitat
Inside a National Park
Location
Gir National park ; India
Date taken
28.12.2010
Scientific name
Pseudibis papillosa
Wow, this bird is simply stunning on closer examination, Alok. Love the red, Cardinal 'skull cap' on its head. Great closeup shot.
