Egret in a Hurry (Egretta garzetta)

There were four Little Egrets in front of the hide when this was taken and they spent much of the time moving about and annoying one another.

Every time I hear the words Little Egret I start humming a song from my youth called 'Little Egypt'. We used to play it in a band which I was in and I always liked it but I didn't know anything about it. I have just searched on You Tube and was surprised to see that it was recorded by The Coasters and also Elvis! I have just watched a video of him singing it and I will now be humming it to myself all day. Ron
