Golden-breasted Puffleg (Eriocnemis mosquera)

Several of these attractive hummers feeding both from natural flowers and feeders in clearing near the top of the ridge. Often just sat at rest like this one between running the gauntlet of the Shining Sunbeams who were dominant in defending the artificial feeders.

Semi-arid montane ridge and cloud forest.
