Goosander (Mergus merganser)

It's nice to get close shots of this species. I hope they return again so I can get the male bird which may be an exposure nightmare. So I will be setting up in the dark and hoping they drop in again.

Excellent close-up, Adrian; great detail and water colours/reflections, very well done. BTW, you mentioning the shutter noise yesterday made me think; I forget that it's a problem for others, as there's no noise with a Superzoom, and I've not used an SLR for over 20 years.

Wow, what a superb shot, Adrian. Wonderful lighting and colours. I love the effects on the water too. Pin sharp and virbrant! Great stuff :t: Good luck with the male.
