greater flamingo
this picture was taken in a place where in previous years this time of the year many migrating waders would be feeding. As one can see, the water levels this year are unusually high, haven't seen a single migrant Calidris sandpiper so far ...

Location
Salin de Giraud, Camargue, France
Date taken

Phoenicopterus roseus

Excellent detailed close-up with amazing detail perfectly showing its beautiful coloration.

Great close-up! On May 5th I took some pictures with a flying flock of about 70 greater flamingos, close to the Black Sea coast

Beautiful capture of this handsome bird JJ...Water levels are high in places here too, hence the lack of waders

Awesome close-up with fabulous eye contact of this show stopper JJ. Brilliant colors, lighting, colors, and detail. The Central Texas Coast was very similar this year, it was impossible to find any exposed tidal flats. TFS JJ and thanks for the information.
