House sparrow at 43 meters distance (Passer domesticus)

I am trying to find out how large the distance can be between me and the bird I want to photograph. 43 Meters is too far for delicate detail (I think, but I might be wrong), but the bird is well recognizable. I didn't get a second change for a photo, it flew away just when I pushed the button.
