How many oystercatcher chicks can you find? (Haematopus ostralegus)

I had a cropped version of this picture ready, but when I took a closer look at the original I found more chicks hiding. How many can you find? And how sure are you that what you've found are actually chicks? Their plumage coloring and patterning is a near-perfect match for the sand and rocks on this beach. As long as they hunker down and sit still, they are virtually invisible, or rather, undifferentiable from the surroundings.
Habitat
bedrock and sand beach
Location
Munkhomen island, Trondheim, Norway
Date taken
June 10, 2010
Scientific name
Haematopus ostralegus
Equipment used
Nikon D90 Nikkor 70-300
One, two, three... no more, even with my glasses on! :-C

They don't take after their parents at all, I wouldn't guess these are mini-Oystercatchers!!! But they are lovely, and great subject for this sample of camouflage! Well spotted, girl, and a great image!!! :t: :t: :t: :t:

I can see 17, no I can't.|=)| I can see two, for my eyes that quite good. Great capture, best of luck. And to Cristian in the post above; you must be great fun at parties.|=)|

Great image Doc, going for three, one on its own, and two in RH side of image, nice one.

I'll go for 4, looks like a little fuzzball to the left of the main rock. Great shot, and excellent entry for the comp.
