Indigo Bunting
Identification of female Indigo/Lazuli Buntings can be tricky. Indigo is expected as a migrant through this part of Texas, but Lazuli occurs further west. The faint breast streaking, narrow buffy wing-bars, and lack of a buffy breast band, all point to this one being a female Indigo Bunting. Also the straight culmen (top of bill) helps distinguish Indigo Bunting from the similar Blue Bunting of Mexico and Central America which has the upper mandible more arched.
