Just a patch of weeds. (Nymphalis C-album)

An early butterfly and a patch of dandilion in a neglected corner of my garden was the inspiration for this painting! A Comma basking in the spring sunshine brought a smile to my face.

Fabulous to see this Steve, simply beautiful as usual. Just delighted you have had time to post this. I wish my weeds in my garden looked like this!!! I love the Comma - it almost looks as though it is going to fly out of the picture.

I wonder who decides if a flower should be called weed or not. The Dandelions made for a great painting here and nice to see this sunshine flower in different stages. The Butterfly is the finishing touch, you should be very pleased with yourself,Steve. Very nice. :t:

Thank you so much Kim! So glad you like it! Very best wishes. Yes Ove, I agree with your kind comment. Weeds are wild flowers as far as I'm concerned and life would be very dull without them? Best wishes.

A most beautiful watercolour. I like the composition very much with that lovely butterfly nearly at the base of the dandelion flowers. It's great to see one of your posts again.Best wishes from Jolle

this is so beautiful Steve, where you put the Comma and the arrangement of the wild flowers are so unique like everything we see in nature. we seldom realize this, but only a sensitive person such as yourself with your incredible talent can show us the unusual of the usual.

A well essayed 'patch of weeds' Steve...a pleasure to see as always.

My thoughts and good wishes go to you and your family.

A glorious paiting Steve. I love where you've position the butterfly providing interest in the less flowery part of the picture.

A great job you've done here - well done.
