Juvenile Sparrow Hawk (Accipiter nisus)

My OH spotted the Sparrow Hawk fly across the garden and under the trees, I went out camera in hand thinking it would have gone. Creeping around the trees I spotted it sitting on the fence looking into the neighbors field, I kept creeping forward until it filled the frame. It turned round to look where the clicking was coming from and gave me a stare, it didn't seem to be in the least bit bothered so I took some more shots, then it flew off. Its a shame the sun was in the wrong place and it was shaded but I don't think it has turned out that bad.

Very dramatic lighting in this shot which suits the subject perfectly. Those backlit leaves are stunning. Very nice.
