I think it is a type of Damselfly......not sure
This one was no more than 2 inches long with a body like the lead in a pencil. Photographing insects and little things makes you slow down and pay close attention to what there is to see when you really look close.

Brilliant shot! Sorry I can't help with the species. The torso is colored like an Emerald damselfly, but I don't recall the Emerald's eyes being striped like that.
