I can't claim any credit for this, I was on the wrong side of the car
and getting out would certainly have spooked the bird
so Steve kindly offered to take the shot with my camera, great shot Steve!

A superb capture of this owl. Great detail. I like the pose in the hole of the tree-trunk and the great stare. The bird does look very close to you.
