Yesterday me,Jason and James had gone to my patch..we saw this bird flying..wasnt sure was it Chinese or Japanese..so to-day i couldnt go to my patch at noon because of a bad M.V.A...by the time i had stablised the patient and waited for the hospital van to come i was again buried in my work..by the time i finished my last patient the time was 5.15pm..knowing it was late told my staff to call me..joyfull roaming my patch with peace and quite..i said to my self ..Manjeet this is life..as the sun was going down and i was at the extreme end of my patch under the canopy..it was getting dark..you know how birding is ...lol..told my self...another 10mins i will go..saw a slight movement on a partly cut palm tree which had dead branch from the next tree running across..looked and oh my ..there was this beauty Made in Japan...like a very ,very old man brought up my hand to my kowa and oned the switch..with baitted breath..(it was going to fly any time..:'D)..i pressed the shutter and then twice again..then with a pip..it took off like a Singh was after it..and i shouted laughing..[B]..hello...wait you left your picture behind...:D..[/B]..hope you like it...people.Thanks..
At present the following birds are in my patch..
1.Black Baza.
2.Chinese Sparrowhawk.
3. Japanese Sparrowhawk.
4. Chestnut-winged Cuckoo a pair.
5. Forest Wagtail.
6. Hudgson's Hawk Cuckoo
7.? Large Hawk Cuckoo juvenile.
8. Crested Serpent Eagle.
9...the pain in the behind-Black-capped Kingfisher..whose picture i still havent got..:'D.
10. Large-tailed Nightjar.
11.White-throated Kingfisher.
and many more..lol..

Open country,scrub,mangroves,forests and forests edges.
Location
opps mud-flat & pond,Pondamaran-jaya,Port Klang,Selangor,Malaysia.

Nice one Doc, sounds like the patch is pretty busy, looking forward to seeing that Black Cap, I'm sure you'll get him.
